Education
Jiří Kaňka completed his law studies on the Law Faculty of the Charles University in Prague by acquiring a master degree in law.

Professional Career
Jiří Kaňka started his professional career in 1999 in the Czech office of the international law office eInIwIc Rechtsanwälte initially as law clerk and a junior lawyer and as of 2005 as an admitted senior lawyer. At the end of 2006 he established the law office AK KAŇKA, which now continues as law office KAŇKA & ŠAFKA.

Jiří Kaňka focuses mainly on the corporate and contractual law, as well as on the labor and real estate law. His recent experience includes following projects:

Education
Jiří Šafka completed his law studies on the Law Faculty of the Charles University in Prague by acquiring a master degree in law. Jiří Šafka studied law also on the German Christian-Albrechts Universität zu Kiel and furthermore completed economic studies on the Institute of Economic Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Charles University in Prague.

Professional Career
Jiří Šafka started his professional career in the Czech office of the “Zürich” insurance company (2000-2001) as underwriter for the bankruptcy insurance of the travel agencies. In years 2002-2003 Jiří Šafka was employed in the Czech office of the international law firm Altheimer&Gray. Since 2003 up to 2010 Jiří Šafka worked for the Czech office of the international law office Salans.

Jiří Šafka focuses mainly on the real estate law, as well as on the corporate and contractual law, financing including litigation and arbitration. His recent experience includes following major projects:

   • Advising client on complete lease of a new office building in Prague;
   • Providing legal services to a foreign investment fund in connection with
     investment into development of an office building;
   • Advising clients in various large scale construction projects (addition of
     a major shopping centre, reconstruction of a large property in Prague
     city centre etc.);
   • Providing legal analysis concerning claims out of a FIDIC contract for
     work for development of traffic infrastructure;
   • Advising client in connection with objections raised by environmental
     associations and owners of the neighboring properties within building
     proceedings and in consecutive court proceedings based on law suits

     concluding consecutive condominium agreement on changes of the
